Privacy

Privacy policy.

We keep this short and specific. This page explains exactly what this website collects, why, who else can see it, and how to get it removed.

Who we are

Dreamflight Digital is a local SEO, AI search and web business based in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. We are the party responsible for the personal information described on this page. To reach us about anything here, email hello@dreamflight.ca.

What we collect

When you use the contact form. We collect only what the form asks for:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your business name
  • your website — optional
  • your message

That is the entire set. There are no hidden fields that collect information about you, and we do not ask for a phone number, address or anything about your finances.

When you simply browse. Our analytics tool records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, which site or search referred you, and what kind of device and browser you used. See the analytics section below. Our host also keeps standard technical logs, which include IP addresses, to serve the site and defend it against attacks.

We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site, and we never sell personal information to anyone.

Why we collect it, and your consent

Contact-form details are used for one purpose: to reply to you and discuss the work you asked about. We do not add you to a mailing list — we have no mailing list — and we will not send you marketing you did not ask for. Submitting the form is your consent for us to respond to it.

Analytics tell us which pages people actually find useful so we can improve them. You can decline analytics at any time using the opt-outs described below.

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like by emailing hello@dreamflight.ca, and we will delete what we hold about you, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies in your browser — typically named _ga and _ga_<id> — which give your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several.

Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address. It uses your IP to work out an approximate location, then discards it. We cannot see your name, email address or precise location in analytics, and we do not combine analytics data with anything you send us through the contact form.

We retain analytics data for up to 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.

How to opt out. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s private/incognito mode, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics does not affect anything on this site — every page and the contact form work exactly the same.

The site sets no advertising cookies and no cookies of our own beyond what is described here.

Who else can see your information

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and delivers it through its network. Handles technical request logs, including IP addresses.
  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox as email.
  • Google Workspace — the email service where your enquiry arrives and where our reply is sent from.
  • Google Analytics — the analytics described above.

We do not share your information with anyone else, and we do not sell or rent it. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose something — a court order, for example — we will comply, and will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Where your information is stored

The providers above are based in, or store data in, the United States. That means your information may be processed outside Canada and, while it is there, may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under the laws of that country. We mention this because Canadian privacy law expects us to, and because it is true of virtually every website you use.

How long we keep it

Contact-form enquiries stay in our email for as long as the conversation is useful — if it becomes a project, for the life of that relationship and any period we are required to keep business records. If nothing comes of it, we delete it once it is clearly stale. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will.

Analytics data expires on the 14-month schedule described above.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. Enquiries are delivered straight to our email — there is no database of submissions on this website to be breached. Our accounts are protected with strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication.

No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything highly sensitive — passwords, banking details, government identification — through the contact form. If we ever need something like that from a client, we will arrange a secure way to send it.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it if it is wrong
  • ask us to delete it
  • withdraw your consent to our using it
  • ask a real person how any of the above works

Email hello@dreamflight.ca and we will respond within 30 days, which is the timeframe PIPEDA sets. There is no charge for this.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email hello@dreamflight.ca and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
